Baikalo-Lensky Zapovednik
Dramatic mountains drop into the depths of Lake Baikal’s northwestern shore where Baikalo-Lensky Zapovednik is situated. In addition to protecting the shore of Lake Baikal, the reserve, founded in 1986, also guards the headwaters of the mighty Lena River in the mountains above.
